Williams Opens New Path for Young Engineers
Williams Racing has announced the launch of a new global educational initiative aimed at promoting STEM subjects among young people.
In recent years, tens of thousands of British students have taken part in the program at the team’s base in Grove, and it is now expanding to an international level. The training will be delivered through the team’s fan zones, the first of which is set to open in Miami.
From 2027, dedicated youth camps will be introduced in North America, where participants will not only study theory but also work on simulators and tackle practical engineering challenges under the guidance of experts.
These programs will be held during race weekends, with plans for further expansion. Existing initiatives, including the Williams–Komatsu Engineering Academy, are already helping to attract future engineers, with many participants choosing to pursue further education and careers in this field.
This season, Williams fan zones will also operate in Barcelona, London, Madrid, Singapore, Austin, and Las Vegas.
