Pirelli Completes 2026 Tire Tests in Mexico

Pirelli conducted its final tire tests for the 2026 season in Mexico City. On Tuesday, Gabriel Bortoleto took the wheel of a modified Sauber C45, testing the soft compounds C3–C6. He began the session on the softest tires and gradually switched to harder ones as track conditions improved. During the first part of the session, the team evaluated the performance differences between compounds, before moving on to longer runs of up to 15 laps to assess tire degradation.

Bortoleto completed 136 laps (585 km), setting a best time of 1:19.089. The weather remained clear throughout the day, with the track temperature reaching 51°C. On the following day, Valtteri Bottas is scheduled to continue testing in a Mercedes W15, following the same program.
