Lindblad Penalized:Big Grid Demotion for Baku Sprint

Arvid Lindblad, a member of the Red Bull Junior Team and a Formula 2 driver for Campos Racing, caused real chaos in the Monza race, receiving not one but two 10-second penalties.

First, he made a clear mistake under braking and forced Alex Dunn off the track, with the Irish Rodin Motorsport driver subsequently needing a visit to the medical center. Shortly after, Lindblad did the same to Roman Stanek, pushing him off the circuit as well. Although Lindblad tried to explain the incidents by citing brake issues, the stewards had no doubt that he was fully at fault in both cases.

Before serving the penalties, however, Lindblad retired from the race himself. As a result, the stewards converted the sanctions: at the next round in Baku, he will drop ten positions on the grid for Saturday’s sprint race.
