Kimi Joins Olympic Torch Relay in Italy

Driver for the Mercedes team, Kimi Antonelli, took part in a stage of the Olympic Torch Relay, which is currently travelling through various cities in Italy in the lead-up to the Winter Games.
One day before the start of testing in Barcelona, Antonelli carried the lit torch through the streets of Palmanova, located in the province of Udine. Although the weather was unfavourable with intermittent drizzle and overcast skies the athlete completed his section of the relay without hesitation. Local residents and fans lined the route to support him and witness the symbolic run.
It should be noted that the 2026 Winter Olympic Games will be held in Italy, with events taking place in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo from 6 to 22 February.
